Thrissur: College magazines are trial grounds for innovations.
Students of St. Theresa's College, Mala, have proved it again.
Final year B. Com. students of the college have come up with a novel idea - an audio magazine.
Students' editor P. I. Sidhiq was the mastermind behind the magazine. His friends joined him in turning the idea a success. They called it ‘Radio'.
The Radio, produced in the background of college campus, has a length of 40 minutes and 40 seconds.
“It's progressing like programmes in mainstream FM channels accompanying with jingles. It has a heady mix of latest songs, comments on movies, poems, stories, essays and memories of old students about their college days,” says Sidhiq.
The students claim that their attempt is the first of its kind in Malayalam.
V.A. Sidhiq and Habeeb Mala are production assistants of the magazine. Music director Ansar Majeed has done the audio recoding and music.
